Your new role

  • Translate customer requirements into technical specifications for analogue mixed signal design, balancing features versus cost and time.
  • Translating system-level requirements to block-level specifications.
  • Creating simulation test-benches. Understanding low-noise analog circuit design.
  • Full-custom IC layout design using Cadence tools Virtuoso, Layout-XL, DRC and LVS. Implementing layout techniques such as symmetry and shielding. Creating layout designs according to a floorplan.
  • Designing basic circuits such as amplifiers, comparators, buffers, current sources, etc.
  • Create top level schematic and layout views, manage database changes.

What you'll need to succeed
  • Bachelor or Master’s Degree in Electrical Engineering.
  • Proven industry experience in analog circuit design, simulation and layout.
  • Strong understanding of analog circuit design fundamentals, device physics and knowledge of semiconductor process technology. Understanding of ESD concepts.
  • Experience with Integrated Circuit CAD tools, circuit simulators, electrical test and characterization, system level requirements, and product development.
  • Design experience with various analog circuit blocks; amplifiers, oscillators, charge pumps and voltage reference circuits.
  • Ability to work in a team environment under tight deadlines and high pressure situations, and work effectively in a multi-tasking mode to maintain priorities while responding to daily interruptions.

Your new company
NXP is regularly looking for experienced Analog Designers for various departments and projects. As an Analog Designer you are responsible for analog IC- and subsystem design according to the specification in a time frame of an agreed project plan. You are able to translate a specification into an electrical schematic by using existing components and technology innovations (MOSFET, bipolar, resistors, capacitors...) and you’ll simulate it against all sources of variations and re-design until the product fits the application.
