Your new role
In this role, you’ll step into the heart of a fast‑moving QC department supporting the production of advanced cell therapies. You’ll take ownership of the full lifecycle of QC systems, ensuring instruments are maintained, validated, and always ready to support critical release testing. When new technologies arrive in the lab, you’ll guide their introduction and keep the team aligned with clear timelines and communication.

A key part of your work will revolve around quality oversight. You’ll lead investigations, manage deviations, and drive effective change controls and CAPAs that strengthen the reliability of QC operations. Your attention to detail will help maintain robust documentation, from SOPs and methods to validation files and audit trails, ensuring the lab always remains fully compliant and inspection‑ready.

What you’ll need to succeed
The successful candidate will hold a degree in Life Sciences, Bio‑Engineering, or a related field, with a background in GMP‑regulated QC laboratory work.
Key requirements include:
  • Strong knowledge of QC systems, laboratory instrumentation, and computerised systems
  • Solid understanding of system validation, data integrity, and audit readiness
  • Proficiency in managing deviations, change control, CAPA, and documentation
  • Ability to lead investigations and drive continuous improvement
  • A proactive, solution‑focused approach and strong cross‑functional collaboration skills

What you’ll get in return
Hays Detachering | This is a project that will start with a contract for 12 months through Hays. Extension to stay within the department is anticipated.
At this position, you will get a competitive salary (starting from €60,000) and your travel expenses are covered.
