Your new role
As an EHS coordinator, it is your job to be proactive and ensure a safe work environment for yourself and your colleagues. You monitor environmental, health, and safety compliances by developing/maintaining current systems by conducting risk assessments. You follow/initiate environmental permit applications as designated by Dutch regulations. You will identify areas where EHS standards are required and ensure implementation. You will be expected to provide EHS trainings to all levels within the organization. You ensure that operational, environmental, and safety systems are compliant with governmental standards as well as organizational and insurance requirements. This applies operations, maintenance projects, and emergency situations. You must identify areas of EHS non-compliance and conduct RCA methods to prevent further misconduct. You are also a contact person for external parties relating to EHS matters. Lastly, you are able to act as the project leader for EHS projects and support engineering projects which are relevant to EHS activities and/or concerns.

What you'll need to succeed
You must have a Safety Science course completed (HVK). You ideally have Bsc. in a technical field such as chemical, pharmaceutical, food, environment, etc. At least 2+ years of relevant work experience such as project management, RCA, risk assessment, and knowledge of governmental EHS regulations. Soft skills necessary for this position include a proactive mindset and an excellent eye for detail. Dutch is necessary for this role due to the governmental EHS regulations being communicated and written in Dutch.
