Your new role
As an Equipment Lifecycle & Automation Specialist, you will be responsible for supporting the introduction of new laboratory equipment and managing its lifecycle. You will also work closely with the Lab Operations Automation team, providing support for various software applications, primarily Empower, as well as Chromeleon, Unifi, and ICE3. Automation support is also growing rapidly. Therefore, the quality of data management, systems processes and standards (implementing new technologies and maintaining current ones) need to be continuously improved to eventually be able to support paperless operations.

Responsibilities
  • Support the Equipment Lifecycle Management (ELM) process, including equipment introduction, decommissioning, and documentation, collaborating with the ELM team to ensure the effective lifecycle management of analytical and lab equipment.
  • Assist in maintaining and improving lab automation systems, focusing on software such as Empower, Chromeleon, Unifi, and ICE3.
  • Translate user requirements into technical specifications while ensuring compliance with Data Integrity (DI) standards.
  • Continuously improve data management, system processes, and standards through the implementation of new technologies.
  • Support both New Product Introductions (NPIs) and base business by resolving urgent technical challenges with innovative solutions.

What you need to succeed
The successful candidate should have a completed Bachelor's in Life Sciences or Computer Sciences.
  • Affinity with (laboratory) data acquisition and processing software, use of database systems and visual reporting are considered as a plus.
  • Knowledge of software such as Empower, Chromeleon, Unifi and ICE3 is highly desirable.
  • Knowledge and use of GMP Quality systems in a pharmaceutical setting.
  • Interpersonal skills in order to engage with personnel at all levels within the organisation.
