Currently, the IWMS is part of the IFM contract with our facilities partner. In practice, it turns out that the expectations of us as a client, and their customers, are higher than the system that has been purchased. That is the reason to look at options for a different solution. A solution that better meets the user's needs, in terms of user-friendliness (intuitiveness of the system, number of clicks), and on the other hand, better meets the facility employee's needs, in terms of speed and workability, but retains the integrality with underlying systems.

In the first instance, the project manager is responsible for mapping out all the starting points for the future situation, an analysis of the current situation and ultimately the various possible scenarios (solution directions) with the associated consequences, advantages and disadvantages, financial and operational impact. To date, there are 4 scenarios: 1) improve the current system of the facility IFM partner together with them, 2) purchase a new system and place it in scope with the facility partner, 3) purchase a new system owned by the client (instead of the facility partner) from the same provider and 4) a new system from another provider. In practice, it may turn out that more than these 4 options are possible. To this end, the project manager starts with a thorough analysis of the current situation (number of reports, through which channels, interfaces, work processes) and is in contact with the current facility partner and the various providers of new/alternative solutions. With the help of this representation of the current situation and with the help of input from the IFM party, the project manager arrives at the desired future situation and the possible scenarios. Based on a careful enumeration of the various scenarios, including the impact, the project manager advises the client on the best and therefore, preferred scenario.

In theory, at that point, the project can be completed and transferred, for implementation, to another project manager because there may be other profiles and competencies suitable for the implementation phase, but that is not necessary/necessary. This can be determined jointly in consultation with the relevant project manager according to what is appropriate (and also depending on the choice of scenario).

Process thinking and working: providing insight into when which steps will be taken (and who is needed for input/decision-making at which step)
Focused on collaboration: both with the client but also with IFM party
