Your new role
Under the direction for the SPOC you are responsible for the implementation of projects and studies that support business objectives for Site Engineering in Boxmeer. Further responsibilities include leading project implementation activities ranging from conceptual scoping, basis of design, scheduling, estimating, cost budgeting and control, procurement, contract administration, construction management, safety supervision, qualification/validation, communications, management and project close-out. You will lead cross functional teams to meet project milestone and collaborate with internal stakeholders such as, plant operations, quality department, EH&S, procurement and IT. External communication will include managing and guiding partners like design firms and Engineering Procurement Construction Management companies (EPCM). You will apply your knowledge of capital project phases to plan and perform appropriate work during each phase while identifying opportunities for innovative improvements to enhance facility/ equipment/ controls design and construction to ensure operational excellence. You will undertake studies and apply our Capital Management Process, Lean Six Sigma methods an provide advice to ongoing projects and existing business operations. Finally, you will apply knowledge of scientific and engineering principles, regulatory policies, engineering standards and practices to optimize the design of construction of facilities.
What you'll need to succeed
A Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in engineering or an applicable technical degree with at least 10-15 years of experience in a high tech engineering and/or construction field to manage capital investment projects. Experience with pharmaceutical/biotech environment is highly preferred. You are result driven to deliver projects on time and budget with the right quality. You are willing and able to implement your own business improvements and exhibit sound leadership and interpersonal skills. Excellent communication skills in English. Dutch is highly preferred.
