Scientific Technical Specialist

Your new role
Our client in Boxmeer is seeking a highly skilled Scientific Technical Specialist to join the Pharmaceutical Technical Support (PTS) department for a special project. This role is critical to ensuring the continued manufacture and supply of high-quality veterinary pharmaceutical products, supporting their global mission to advance animal health. As part of the PTS team, you will provide in-line technical support across manufacturing operations, focusing on method and equipment validation, contamination control, and regulatory compliance. You’ll work independently with minimal direction, applying your expertise to optimise processes and uphold the highest standards of quality and safety.

Key Responsibilities

Provide hands-on technical support to manufacturing teams to ensure product quality and compliance with GMP standards.
Lead and execute method and equipment validation activities, including documentation, testing, and reporting.
Support contamination control initiatives across the site, identifying risks and implementing mitigation strategies.
Interpret and apply current regulatory requirements to ensure site-wide compliance.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams (Quality, Engineering, R&D) to support technology transfer and process improvements.

What you’ll need to succeed
Bachelor’s in Pharmaceutical Sciences, Engineering, Biotechnology, or related field.

Proven experience in a GMP-regulated pharmaceutical or biopharmaceutical manufacturing environment.
Strong knowledge of regulatory requirements (e.g., EMA, FDA, GMP).
Demonstrated expertise in method and equipment validation.
Experience with contamination control strategies and aseptic processing is highly desirable.
Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to work autonomously.
Strong communication and documentation skills in Dutch & English

What you’ll get in return
Hays Detachering | This is a project that will start with a contract for 12 months through Hays. Extension to stay within the department is anticipated. At this position, you will get a competitive salary starting from €3100 gross per month and your travel expenses are covered.
