For our R&D department we are looking for a software engineer. You will be part of a multidisciplinary team and together you will work on the development of our egg sorting and packaging machines. YOUR FUNCTION

From fifteen offices and together with more than 800 colleagues around the world, we build the highest quality technical products, the best customer relationships and an environment where every employee can get even more out of themselves.
As a software engineer, you are responsible within the project team and department-wide for developing a vision of future developments and making this a reality. In addition, you are involved in user story refinement and the preparation of technical, test and functional documentation. As a troubleshooter, you ensure that the developed products are put into operation at the customer's premises. You analyze control technical problems and are able to come up with creative solutions for them. You will work together with approximately 100 R&D colleagues, of which 30 are software engineers on various projects.
What kind of work can you think of in concrete terms?
- Contribute to the development and maintenance of Company products within the R&D department, taking into account the required specifications, safety and quality;
- Sharing knowledge within your software discipline group and contributing to raising the overall level;
- Developing modular, testable and appropriate solutions within the existing architecture;
- Contribute to setting up and implementing general standards and processes;
- Making an active contribution to the software group in terms of cooperation and ownership.
WHAT DO WE ASK OF YOU?
- Minimum Hbo diploma; Embedded Systems, Industrial Automation or Informatics;
- At least 2 years of work experience in a similar position and experience with C/C++, Object Oriented programming (UML) and working according to the Agile Scrum Process;
- Experience with the following technologies is an advantage: Javascript, REST API, CSS, test automation; unit testing; code coverage; network experience in Ethernet, Powerlink or CAN; version control systems (SVN/Git);
- Development in (real time) Linux environments;
- Good command of the English language in speech and writing.
