The Department of Animal Health is located at the Boxmeer site. There they develop new medicines specifically for animals. They produce, amongst others, vaccines that prevent bacterial, parasitic and viral infections in both pets and farm animals. Your new role

As a Lab Technician, you are responsible for performing, reporting and monitoring QC tests according to standard. Signalling and reporting (OOS) deviations and trends according to the applicable GMP procedures. Mastering various physical and chemical test techniques (such as HPLC, particle size determination, rheometer, viscosity, TOC). Entering test results and data analysis/trending and, if necessary, assessing these. Participating in and, if necessary, leading improvement projects using Lean/Six Sigma tools. Adjusting and/or writing existing and new work instructions (WI) and, if necessary, SOPs. Working in accordance with GMP, GMO and safety guidelines.

What you'll need to succeed

The successful candidate will have:

  • An HBO education in chemistry or MLO level 4 in chemistry with 5 years of relevant work experience,
  • Has the ability to show accurate and quality-oriented and demonstrate problem-solving skills.
  • Good communication and social skills in both English and Dutch (including technical writing).
  • Experience working in an environment with a quality system, preferably GMP (Good Manufacturing Practice).
  • Has an affinity with continuous improvement processes such as Lean Six Sigma tools.

What you'll get in return

Hays Detachering | This is a project that will start with a contract for 12 months through Hays. Extension to stay within the department is anticipated. In this position, you will get a competitive salary, and your travel expenses are covered.

We can offer a competitive salary package with a base salary ranging from €2475 to €3336 based on 40 hours per week.
