Your new role

We are seeking an experienced QC/QA Functional Consultant to lead the implementation and replacement of a Quality Control / Quality Assurance Laboratory Information Management System (LIMS) and its adjacent systems. This is a critical role in ensuring seamless integration, compliance, and operational excellence within our QC/QA environment.

The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of laboratory processes, quality systems, and LIMS platforms (Thermo Fischer Sample Manager), combined with the ability to manage stakeholders and drive system adoption across the organisation (the latter is optional).

Key Responsibilities:
- Lead the end-to-end implementation of a new QA/QC LIMS system, including requirements gathering, system design, configuration, testing, and deployment.

- Assess and replace existing systems, ensuring data integrity and compliance with regulatory standards (e.g., GMP, ISO).

- Collaborate with QC/QA teams, IT, and external vendors to ensure smooth integration with adjacent systems (e.g., ERP, MES

- Develop and execute validation protocols and ensure compliance with industry standards.

- Provide functional expertise and act as the primary point of contact for all LIMS-related activities.

- Conduct training and change management for end-users to ensure successful adoption.

- Monitor project progress, manage risks, and ensure delivery within scope, timeline, and budget.

What you'll need to succeed

- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Life Sciences, Chemistry, IT, or related field.

- Proven experience in LIMS implementation projects within a QC/QA environment.

- Familiarity with regulatory compliance (GMP, ISO standards).

- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.

- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.

- Experience with ThermoFisher Sample manager
