The department of Animal Health is located at the de Bilt site. There they develop new medicines, specifically vaccines. They produce, amongst others, vaccines that prevent bacterial, parasitic and viral infections mainly for poultry.
Your new role
As a Bioprocess Operator, you will conduct several different tasks and as you develop in the role you will take on more responsibility, which will include:
- Operating printing, labelling, and packaging machines (automated machines)
- Manual packing tasks and other general duties
- Setting up/removing materials
- Identifying problems and/or improvement opportunities
- Maintaining up-to-date personnel records (e.g., TOJ / training / development goals)
- Working according to Safety Health Environment (SHE) and Good Manufacturing Practice (GMP) guidelines
- Operating equipment (e.g., filling lines / pumps)
- Rinsing, filling, and inspecting bottles with product
- Supplying the production line
- Completing batch documentation
- Aseptic tasks
- Rinsing, filling, and freeze-drying bottles
- Reporting and assisting in resolving malfunctions or deviations in the equipment used
- Performing support tasks (e.g., setting up equipment, kitchen duty, cleaning, autoclaving)
- Recording and following up on process deviations critical to product release
What you'll need to succeed
You have a scientific degree with knowledge of or experience in biological and/or pharmaceutical chemical production processes and experience with GMP. You have an attention to detail with a willingness to support change with excellent communication skills in both English and Dutch. Effective communication (oral/written) and interpersonal skills are necessary.

Hays Detachering | This is a project that will start with a contract for 12 months through Hays. An extension to stay within the department is anticipated. In this position, you will get a competitive salary and your travel expenses are covered.
