Your new role
As EH&S Specialist you will have a number of different responsibilities that will require excellent organisation and communication skills. You will conduct EH&S audits and inspections and lead occupational health and/or safety risk assessment and job hazard analysis. As Kite Pharma is a production facility, you must provide EH&S support for manufacturing and administrative operations. You will manage EH&S systems, including incident investigations, chemical data sheets, inspection and change control. Managing injury and illness investigations, root cause analysis, data trending and safety and compliance inspections will also fall under your responsibilities. You will serve as a primary point of contact for customer groups and providing general support related to laboratory safety, emergency response, hazard communication, LOTO, and other regulatory and site specific EH&S programs. Other duties will include:
- Regular and emergency communication
- Supporting Crisis Management Team
- Manage purchase orders, change orders and supplier agreements
- Liaison to Security Team contractor
- Participate in regulatory agency inspections
What you'll need to succeed
You ideally have a Bachelor in a technical field such as pharmaceutical, chemical or food with proven experience working in the field of EH&S in a production environment. HVK or MVK are an advantage. At least 5 years of experience in RCA, risk assessment and knowledge of governmental EHS regulation. Soft skills necessary for this role include a proactive mindset and an excellent eye for detail. Communication is key for this role as you will be in constant contact with a wide range of teams and providing trainings to all staff.
