Your new position As Business Development Manager you are responsible for the promotion of a global SCADA product that monitors industrial processes. Within the role you support the affiliates of our client to make the sale. You do this for your own international region. The actual sale is not done by you, but you maintain the relationship and help the affiliates, for example by attending seminars or events. You will also be proactively visiting your affiliates to maintain this relationship. Therefore you will be travelling approximately two times a month.
Your profile To be successful as Existing Business Development Manager you have a couple of years’ experience within a commercial role in an industrial environment. You could also come from a previous position as System Engineer or Lead Controller and want to make a switch to a commercial role. You are a relation builder and are a good communicator whilst always staying commercial and making sure a sale can happen. Furthermore, you have a strong connection to the industrial sector and have enough technical knowledge to be able to know what the potential clients need and explain the SCADA product to them. You also have some software knowledge to answer questions about the product. Lastly, to be able to communicate with affiliates, clients and internally you are open for different cultures and are proficient in English.
About the organization Our client is an international supplier of industrial automatization, test and measuring solutions. This department focusses on the SCADA product for affiliates and clients all over the world, based in Amersfoort where the European headquarters are located.
What you get in return This is a fulltime position (40 hours). Our client offers a competitive salary based on your experience. On top of that you receive 26 holiday + 6 ATV days, a laptop, phone and company car. They work in a hybrid model, with about 2/3 days in the office in Amersfoort and international travel.
