Your new role

As a temporary Maintenance Engineer (ME), you support the Business System Owner (BSO) for the HVAC, BMS & EMS. You are responsible for managing the HVAC, BMS & EMS asset package, so that the current and future installation availability of the production installation is adequate. This means that the utility systems are delivered with optimal reliability, quality and costs.


Your responsibilities:
  • Collaborate with the maintenance and engineering department for long-term investment plans and CAPEX reservations.
  • Present investment plans during budget rounds with input from the Business System Owner (BSO).
  • Involved in the management of changes (MoC) during design, commissioning and qualification. Assessing the impact and feasibility of the proposed change in their area of expertise, ensuring that the change is supported by relevant data and summarising the acceptability of the data in support of the change.
  • Support the BSO with installations that meet the reliability and quality requirements
  • Identifying required implementation activities for their area of expertise and carrying out implementation activities if applicable
  • Support engineering projects and be actively involved in the handover stage to ensure operational readiness and GMP compliance of HVAC, BMS and EMS systems.
  • Ensure compliance with Regulatory and Johnson & Johnson requirements (GMP, EHS, FIN, Manufacturing Asset Management)

Your results-oriented approach and responsibility are essential in everything you do.

Your profile:
  • HBO work and thinking level, preferably with a technical background
  • At least 2 years of experience in a highly regulated (pharmaceutical/GMP) industry.
  • Expertise with GMP systems and requirements
  • Expertise with HVAC systems and their control strategies (BMS – primary requirement for HVAC)
  • Expert in reading and editing P& IDs.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail
  • Excellent communication skills, also in English.
  • Knowledge of SAP PM or other CCMS systems is a plus.
