Department Description
As QC Lab Tech II, you’ll be joining a team in which people of all backgrounds and experiences are respected. Working together focused on saving lives by finding the cure for cancer, is a daily activity. QC Sample management is a unit within the QC Services Department. QC Services is a service unit providing services involving Data management, LIMS support, sample management, material management of the Laboratories, Incoming Goods sample management and laboratory equipment lifecycle management. The team is diverse, enthusiastic, and hardworking. In this role, you will ensure high quality support for Quality Control and operations while ensuring compliance with protocols, GXP and safety regulations. Due to the nature of the treatment, this role requires a high level of proficiency and ownership of the process, with the highest skill of aseptic techniques and precision.
Responsibilities of the role:
• Housekeeping of QC sample management area.
• Maintain 5S areas, including Kanban areas.
• Follow effective procedures at all times.
• Complete GxPLearn and Glearn training in a timely manner.
• Escalate non-conformities (deviations).
• Perform small improvement projects.
• Distribution of QC samples to QC labs.
• Receive QC samples and EM plates.
• Transfer samples from -80°C to LN2 storage.
• Perform the Aph accession as the performer function.
• Dispose samples according to procedure in a timely manner.
• Additional duties as assigned. Challenges of the Role:

• High quality with a minimum of deviations (First time right)
Your Profile
The ideal candidate for this position, has a hands-on mentality and thrives in a fast-paced environment. At sample management, a strong sense of organisation is required to ensure that the sample flow is not compromised. The ideal candidate must be willing to work in shifts and overtime when needed. Basic laboratory techniques are required and preferable QC experience. The QC Service department finds team spirit important and therefore is also open to helping other teams within QC.
Education
• Secondary Laboratory Education (MLO, Preferable level 3 / 4) or bachelors.
Preferred skills/experience:
• QC experience in a technical role in the biotech and/or Pharmaceutical Industry.
• Sample management experience.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications
• Verbal communication skills and being able to read in English are essential in this collaborative work environment.
• Knowledge of GMP, GDP and SOP's.
• Car drivers are preferred due to Shift Times - Candidates MUST be able to be on site at 7am and be able to stay until midnight.
Additional Information / Requirements:
• Working in shifts (including weekends, [late] evenings and bank holidays). Work overtime as needed and shift allowance is 27.78% p/hour.
• Shift Pattern: 4 days morning shift, 2 days off, 4 days' evening shift, 2 days off. Repeat.
What you’ll get in return
Hays Detachering | This is a project that will start with a contract for 12 months through Hays. Extension to stay within the department is anticipated. At this position, you will get a competitive salary of €46,890, excluding shift allowance of 27.78%, and your travel expenses are covered.
