Your new role
As QC Technician – Sample Management you’ll be joining a newly formed, diverse, enthusiastic and hardworking team in which people of all backgrounds and experiences are respected, and where working together focused on saving lives, by finding the cure for cancer, is a daily activity. You will join the QC Sample management team which is part of the QC Services Department which provides services involving Data management, LIMS support, sample management, material management of the Laboratories, Incoming Goods sample management and laboratory equipment lifecycle management.
In this role, you will ensure support of high quality for Quality Control and operations while ensuring compliance of protocols, GXP and safety regulations. You will participate in setting up the sample management laboratory of the new manufacturing site and make a substantial contribution to our treatment and the growth and development of Kite Pharma. This includes tasks such as but not limited to: receiving and processing of QC samples to QC Labs, ship samples off site for testing, develop/review procedures and perform inventory management of lab supplies and materials.
What you'll need to succeed
The ideal candidate for this position holds a MLO-4 or BSc degree and gained a minimum of 3 years of experience working within a QC laboratory (preferable within the pharmaceutical industry). Basic laboratory techniques are required. It would be a strong plus if you gained experience with sample management, shipments and GMP/GDP guidelines. As a person you have a hands-on mentality and thrive in a fast-paced environment. At sample management a strong sense of organization is required to ensure that the sample flow is not compromised. You must be willing to work in shifts (including weekends, early mornings and late evenings and bank holidays) and overtime when needed. The QC Service department finds team spirit important and therefore also open to help out other teams within QC

What you'll get in return
Hays Detachering | This is a project that will start with a contract for 12 months through Hays. Extension to stay within the department is anticipated. At this position, you will get a competitive salary and your travel expenses are covered. This role will include shifts (including weekends, early mornings and (late) evenings and bank holidays) which also will be compensated.
