The Process Technology & Support (PTS) team supports site leadership in ensuring reliable, compliant and cost-effective supply of small molecule products. This includes technology transfer, process engineering, validation, troubleshooting and continuous improvement.

Your new role

As a Senior Process Engineer / Scientist, you will be responsible for driving complex process and technology projects within a global pharmaceutical manufacturing environment in Boxmeer. You will play a key role in ensuring robust, compliant and efficient production processes, with a focus on sterile suspended pharmaceuticals.

In this position, you act as a Subject-Matter Expert and lead initiatives across technology transfer, process optimisation and troubleshooting. You will bridge multiple stakeholders across manufacturing, quality, engineering and global teams, ensuring that processes are scientifically sound, scalable and compliant with GMP standards.

You will operate with a high degree of independence while contributing to continuous improvement and innovation within a multidisciplinary, international setting.

Responsibilities

Lead end-to-end technical projects, including API, packaging and process-related changes
Manage and coordinate cross-functional teams for project execution, submission and implementation
Drive technology transfers (site-to-site) and support global strategic initiatives
Lead root cause investigations and define effective CAPA for manufacturing and quality issues
Act as a technical expert and troubleshooter within the production environment
Support and implement process improvements using Lean Six Sigma and data-driven methodologies
Introduce and implement new technologies and process innovations
Provide in-line product support and ensure continuous manufacturing performance
Support regulatory inspections and ensure compliance of GMP systems
Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders, including CMOs, suppliers and laboratories
Contribute to knowledge sharing, best practices and technical networks across the organisation

What you'll need to succeed

Master’s or PhD degree in (Bio)Process Technology, Pharmaceutical Technology, Chemistry, Food Technology or similar
5–10 years of experience in a pharmaceutical manufacturing or technology environment
Strong project management experience in complex, multidisciplinary settings
Knowledge of GMP, pharmaceutical processes and regulatory requirements
Experience with Lean Six Sigma, statistics and continuous improvement methodologies is a plus.
Proven ability to perform root cause analyses and drive sustainable process improvements
Ability to manage multiple projects while maintaining attention to detail
Strong stakeholder management and communication skills
Fluent in English and Dutch, both written and spoken
Proactive, analytical and able to operate independently in a dynamic environment.
