Solution Architect | Systems Architect – IoT & Embedded Systems
die als brug kan functioneren tussen business, commercial teams' en engineering. Een nieuwe rol met veel ruimte voor eigen inzicht, innovatie en technische richting.
Dit is een vaste positie waarin je een centrale rol hebt binnen zowel de commerciële organisatie, engineering, projectmanagement én externe softwarepartners.
Over de functie
In deze functie ben jij de schakel tussen business en technologie. Je werkt nauw samen met productmanagement, commerciële teams en engineers wereldwijd en vertaalt klant‑ en businessbehoeften naar concrete technische oplossingen.
Je werkt aan innovatieve IoT‑gedreven producten voor zowel de bike‑industrie als de residential home‑sector. Je bent verantwoordelijk voor het definiëren, begeleiden en realiseren van nieuwe elektronische en softwarematige oplossingen. Daarnaast stuur je de samenwerking met externe software‑engineering partners (Nederlands bedrijf) aan, werk je met internationale engineeringteams (India, Duitsland, VS) en bewaak je de volledige productarchitectuur.
Het is een rol voor iemand die senior genoeg is om te adviseren, richting te geven én om technische complexiteit begrijpelijk te maken voor niet‑technische stakeholders.
Jouw verantwoordelijkheden
- Fungeren als technisch aanspreekpunt binnen productontwikkeling voor alle aspecten van hardware, firmware en software
- Vertalen van klant‑ en commerciële requirements naar duidelijke technische oplossingen
- Uitvoeren en begeleiden van Electronics & IoT‑conceptontwikkeling, van idee tot marktintroductie
- Actief meedenken in nieuwe technologieën (cloud, apps, communicatieprotocollen, embedded systemen)
- Coördineren van softwareontwikkeling via externe engineering partners
- Samenwerken met wereldwijde engineering teams (India, Duitsland, VS)
- Ontwerpen en reviewen van architecturale schetsen, block diagrams en technische documentatie
- Ondersteunen van productie‑ en kwaliteitsafdelingen bij technische vraagstukken
- Borgen van integratie tussen back‑end systemen, IoT‑platformen en fysieke devices
- Helpen definiëren van toekomstige product-en systeemarchitecturen
- Vertalen van complexe technische input naar begrijpelijke communicatie richting commerciële teams
Jouw profiel
Voor kennis en ervaring in de Must-haves ben ik naar een functioneel iemand op zoek, die het technische begrijpt en kan vertalenJe bent een ervaren engineer met een brede technische blik — iemand die zowel software, firmware als hardware overziet en in staat is om verschillende disciplines met elkaar te verbinden. Je beweegt soepel tussen technische experts en commerciële stakeholders en weet precies hoe je ideeën van concept naar realisatie brengt.
Must‑haves
- Minimaal 5 jaar ervaring in een complexe product engineering omgeving
- Ervaring met productontwikkeling van concept tot implementatie
- Kennis van embedded softwareontwikkeling (Python/C/C++)
- Kennis van object‑oriented programming
- Ervaring met IoT‑ecosystemen, cloud‑integraties en app‑gedreven producten
- Ervaring met lokale draadloze communicaties: Bluetooth, NFC, WiFi, ANT+, Matter, Z‑Wave
- Ervaring met telecomprotocollen: GPRS, LTE‑M, NB‑IoT
- Kennis van wired protocollen: CAN‑bus, LIN‑bus
- Bekend met Agile development en test‑driven automation
- Ervaring met het opstellen van use cases en technische documentatie
- Sterk in communicatie: kan technische complexiteit vertalen naar business
- Zeer goede Engelse taalvaardigheid (Nederlands is een plus)
- Initiatiefrijk, zelfstandig, resultaatgericht en realistisch

About the Role
In this position, you translate business and customer requirements into clear technical solutions. You collaborate closely with product management, commercial teams, and global engineering groups (NL, India, Germany, US), while coordinating development with external software engineering partners.
You understand backend structures, electronic system architecture, and how hardware, firmware, software, and cloud services connect.
You advise, guide, and ensure that concepts become actual products and successfully reach the market.
Key Responsibilities
- Act as the technical point of contact for hardware, firmware, and software topics
- Translate commercial requirements into actionable technical solutions
- Lead conceptual development for Electronics & IoT systems from idea to launch
- Introduce relevant technologies and encourage teams to think innovatively
- Coordinate software development with external engineering partners
- Collaborate with global engineering teams (India, Germany, US)
- Create and review architectural diagrams, block schemes, and technical documentation
- Support manufacturing teams with technical questions and validation
- Ensure integration with cloud platforms, apps, and backend systems
- Shape future product and system architecture
- Communicate technical topics clearly to non‑technical stakeholders
Your Profile
You are a senior engineer with broad experience across embedded software, electronics, and architecture. You operate independently, influence technical direction, and act as the link between commercial and technical environments.

- At least 5 years of experience in complex product engineering
- Experience taking ideas from concept to implementation
- Embedded programming skills (Python/C/C++)
- Object‑oriented programming knowledge
- Experience with wireless protocols (Bluetooth, NFC, WiFi, ANT+, Matter, Z‑Wave)
- Experience with telecom protocols (GPRS, LTE‑M, NB‑IoT)
- Experience with wired communication (CAN‑bus, LIN‑bus)
- Familiar with Agile, model‑driven design and test‑driven automation
- Strong communication and stakeholder management skills
- Excellent command of English (Dutch is a plus)
