Your new role
As a supply chain coordinator you will be part of the International European Supply chain team currently managed by one person from the office in Utrecht. You will manage the full flow from procurement of raw material until delivery of finished products to the customer. The organisation procures most raw materials from the pharmaceutical and food and feed industries. These are mostly by-products which are natural products and are environmentally friendly. Based on the forecast which is provided by the end-clients, the supply chain team will coordinate the full flow and create a forecast of their own, keeping in mind to keep not too much stock. Overall, there are two big production facilities in the UK and Europe with whom the supply chain team will work together on a daily basis.

Responsibilities and tasks:

• Assist in the buying and delivery process of goods, from raw material sourcing to the product's transportation.
• Coordinate a system of procurement, logistics channels and operations management to ensure the conversion of raw materials into final products.
• Monitoring the internal system (which will be SAP in the future) for purchase and sales transactions.
• Oversees the storage and movement of other product components.
• Work closely with ISCM to streamline the existing processes.
• Co-ordination of warehousing and transportation both from supplier and to customer.
• Manage all Customer Service functions, such as entering orders in the system, order acknowledgment to customers, invoicing and after service, such as handling of complaints.
• Responsible for software systems for production planning and accurate reporting.
• Manage record-keeping for audit purposes.
• Organise physical stock checks at the various sites across the EU and UK with the relevant members of the team
  • Be a strong member of the team to support and implement the company strategy.
  • Be involved in key company projects as required.
  • Contribute towards continuous improvement of service levels.
  • Adhere to company policies and procedures.
  • Acting in a professional and ethical way, maintaining a high degree of confidentiality and integrity, always promoting the activities of the company.
  • Maintain the highest levels of confidentiality pertaining to all business and be aware of inadvertently passing on information to customers and suppliers. The passing on of information between parties and to ex-employees is not acceptable.

• From time to time, you may be requested to work outside your normal working hours to help maintain effective cover. You may be required to perform other duties within the company that will be within your capability.
  You may also be asked to represent the company outside the office and any additional expenses will be covered.

Your Profile
The ideal candidate for the supply chain coordinator has at least 2 years of relevant experience within a similar role for an international organisation. You are able to work mostly remotely, at the start for training and team bonding purposes, you will have the work mostly from the Utrecht office. As a person, you are proactive and are able to work independently and are a team player. The main language required is English and Dutch is considered a plus.

Our client sells naturally based adjuvants and pesticides, and they have two production partners in EMEA. In Utrecht they have a flexible office and most of the team is based in the UK. Our client merged with a bigger organisation, which will offer more possibilities for future personal development within a bigger company.
